HELP -SOON TO BE EMERGENCY

Not to be melodramatic but I have 1.5 hours to figure out how to get my windows up before a thunderstorm arrives and no garage.

car - 99 e320 4matic

I disconnected my battery today to treat a little rust where acid had gotten on it, afterwards i reinstsalled my battery and my windows which were all in the lowest position will not go up. I tried resynchronizing, I can hear the window motors make a sound when I try to raise or push the lower position, but they do not move.

My battery is fine but I hooked a charger to it just in case it had discharged a bit- I am turning the key to the acc position and holding the windows for as long as a minute in both the up and down positions -no movement

is there an override?
about to start removing panels to try manual push up

Add'l info

Could I have hit something around the fuses where the battery goes that would stop the windows from going up - sort of reaching but I don't get it. I don't have a repair manual.

I can hear each motor when I try them - they just dont go up and down

If it matters the seats and sunroof work.

Problem Solved

I guess I'm so used to pushing the windows all the way in the up and down position till the switch "clicks" I was trying over and over to put it into "express position and nothing was happening. So I went real easy and just rocked the switch without pushing it all the way and the windows went up one by one. Then I re-synced them now that I could make them go up and down. It took a few trys and more like 15 secs to hold them in both the up and down position but its all good now.

Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks for the tip. For future reference you have a W210 and we have a forum (in sedans section) devoted to these.
