In respect to the question where did this term come from - it is used by chassis ride engineers to describe the affects on the occupants/ frame of a vehicle after it continues to proceed through a pot hole or over a bridge abutment etc.. It is an internal industry term and it was an automatic expression. If I return to this site I will use more common layman terms - sorry

I thank everyone for your input . I unfortunately in my newbie entrance to this site I used a term that is not common and is a specialty expression .
Baloney. If the term "impact memory shake" was in common usage it would be found somewhere other than in this thread. Ego boosting, smoke blowing, affected nonsense!

If you have infinite understanding and such familiarity with "chassis ride engineers," I don't understand what this forum could possible offer you. This community does, however, have a wealth of experience and many members have advanced technical degrees they use professionally. There is no need to dumb it down, just don't make up meaningless phrases that do nothing to advance the discussion.

[QUOTE= i am very concerned about impact memory shake after hitting a road input.

Excellent term "impact memory shake" and your description of what it is. I like it. Keep using it and it will catch on and soon everyone will know what it is. Now when all the no help responders hit a pot hole it will jog their memories.

geez - you are a sensitive bunch - I assure you the term is accurate. There is no need for me to go into my professional back ground - the benefit of using this site for me is to obtain experienced advice - not a discussion in semantics - thank you to E420 and DRJFMLA for posting responses to my (as I thought) simple question - I am a little discouraged over the types of answers that I received. Perhaps this site is not my best option.
