Thanks for the replies. It's not that it is hard to start when it's too hot, it does not start. I turn the key and there is a faint click. Nothing else, no starter cranking, nothing. Had the battery checked and it came back fine.
I will have the starter checked. But it seems to happen only on a hot day when the car temp reaches 85 degrees or more. I would think a bad starter would be more random. When cold the car has never left me stranded.
The 84 300D does have a Crankshaft Position Sensor. I was looking at that being the problem yesterday. Maybe I will go ahead and order a new one.
