190 Diesel-junkie in Nashville - plus question forum help
Good to see that there are so many other Mercedes lovers in the world. I'm particularly fond of the old body styles. I love the 190D that I'm in the process of rebuilding, but the 300 series are classy cars as well.... aren't they all?
I'll re-post this question in an appropriate forum (as soon as I can find it), but in the meantime if someone might point me there I'd appreciate it.
I'm pulling the rear differential on the 190D due to noise issues (probably to replace, but I'm hoping just to rebuild) and I'm having trouble finding the right Torx size for the axle bolts and the single front left mounting bolt of the final drive housing (i.e. diff casing).
Help? T50 almost fits, but maybe it's a T55? Thoughts? Experience? Anyone have any thoughts about how to get these beasts loose without melting or stripping something vital?
Thanks a bunch!
