Anybody out there want to weigh on whether this is a good deal?

One of the biggest deals with the wagons is the SLS, the rear suspension, it's hydraulic. From the pic it looks okay, the ones that need work sag in back.
Not bad miles, make sure the transmission shifts properly, otherwise if it's as stated, a decent price. I don't know how rare they are, but ones in good condition command a good price from those that like wagons.

Yes, the word "rare" is really overused.

The third seat and the factory rack crossbars are a bit rare, but otherwise the only thing rare is the year, i.e. most that year are out of service at junk yards.

Look for service records, especially recent transmission work and HVAC work. If it's been recently done, great. Otherwise, these things will be problems soon if not now.

Be nice to know condition of dashboard, i.e. whether vinyl is cracked.

$4500 is likely a good price, but there's no way you should think that's all you'll eventually spend.
