Need a front license plate bracket without drilling holes!

Hello,
I'm new to this forum, but not new to my favorite car...mercedes. I have a 09 cl63. When I purchased the car, the front bracket was already installed for the license plate. In my opinion, I think all cars look better without the front plate, especially Mercedes'. So, I took it off and had the holes filled and the front bumper repainted. I'm in California, so I took the risk of getting a fix-it ticket, which i just received...damn. Does anyone know of another bracket or license holder that doesn't need to be drilled into my front bumper? I know Mercedes doesn't carry one, but maybe an aftermarket one? Any help or advice would be appreciated greatly!
Thank you.

You could try using the regular bracket with lots of double-sided tape.

I saw someone fabricated a front license plate bracket using 2 flat bars that were bended around the bumper and bolted behind the bumper cover support. But, why complicate the matter, mount the original holder with the original screw and refill it back if you move to another state that doesn't require a front plate.

I saw one once on a W210 that used the front tow hook as a mounting point. You could put that on...pass the re-test, remove it and replace the tow hook cover anytime.

thanks everyone...

i guess i have a couple options. i probably don't want to fill the holes again, that would mean re-painting the whole bumper again which i am trying to avoid. even though i'm in california, i'm still going to take the front plate off again. i just don't like how it looks. we'll see if any of the other suggestions work, i'm open to anything. thanks again for the replies flyboyike, edcarls, and figuero...

Just pay the fix-it ticket and keep driving around without the plate.

I think you have to get the CHP to sign off on the fix.

This is old topic, but not old issue.
I did get couple of fix it tickets on my truck. Usually the deal was to pay $500 or have it signed off and pay $30 administrative fee.
I wonder if OP keeps on paying full fees?
