2007 e350 4 matic w211 down shift problems

My 2007 e350 4 matic had 23,000 miles. When I drive from first gear to second, and let off the gas to slow down for traffic the rearend/trassmission jerks alitte. This is when it is downshifting (automatic transmission). This happens if I am driving down hill and have to slow down. It is like the transmission or rear ended had to catch up. I had it at the dealship, They told me it was a computer problem and fixed it. It is doing it again. Brought it in again and told me everything looks fine. This is odd. Any answers? Thanks

Bring a tech on a drive with you and show him the problem. Test drive another 07 E350 4Matic off the dealers lot and see if it is showing the same problem.

My W210 does it (almost 150,000 miles) and others have mentioned the fault as well.

Your 211 is way too new and low mileage to have any sort of excessive mechanical wear...so this almost confirms my suspicion that this a a "normal" 4matic characteristic. Obviously it wasn't solved in the W211 iteration of the E-class.

Putting the transmission in "W-winter" mode temporarily solves the problem, but it does make it slower off the line. I believe this is "C-comfort" setting on the new Mercs.
