My W210 does it (almost 150,000 miles) and others have mentioned the fault as well.
Your 211 is way too new and low mileage to have any sort of excessive mechanical wear...so this almost confirms my suspicion that this a a "normal" 4matic characteristic. Obviously it wasn't solved in the W211 iteration of the E-class.
Putting the transmission in "W-winter" mode temporarily solves the problem, but it does make it slower off the line. I believe this is "C-comfort" setting on the new Mercs.
