Fiquero is right.
If this is a W108, it came only as a 4-door sedan. The 6-cylinder sedans are not particularly sought. On the other hand, there is a 280 SE coupe and cabriolet that are quite uncommon and very desirable. The V-8 versions (look on the right side of the trunk (boot). If there is a 4.5 or a 3.5 badge there, it is a V-8) of any 280 SE are more desirable than the 6-cylinders. If you happen to have a 280SE 3.5 or 280SE 4.5 cabriolet (convertible) in that barn, it is worth $50k or more in concours condition. A barn find is probably worth 20% of that.
An excellent condition W108 280SE 4.5 sedan is worth $5-6k. An excellent condition 280SE 6-cylinder sedan is worth half that. Suffice to say your car is not in excellent condition.
Again, good luck.
