I am told no more oem pumps available for a 560sl

What brand of water pump can I use if price is no object, since I understand there are no new mercedes pumps?

and what was the oem pump on a 88 560sl?

and what's wrong with ethylene glycol?

thanks for the help

It doesn't really matter. Lasso, GK, and Graf all make fine water pumps.

There was a period of time several years ago when many after market water pumps were not built to same specs as the OE versions and they would tend to run hot. At the time the best water pump to use was a rebuilt from Mercedes. It was also one of the cheapest alternatives. Not sure if that's still the case or not.
