Talking SLK Window not working correclty

Hi All, Please help.

I have a newish shape SLK200 and I am experiencing driver window problems, when I open the door the window drops (as to be expected) but it drops considerably more than I would of expected 60-70mm when should only drop about 5-10mm. when I close the door, the window doesnt raise automatically like it should to effect a seal, I have to get out, get in the passenger seat and close from the inside and get out the pass side, which is a pain in the rear!!!

Also when operating the window from inside whilst driving the one touch close doesnt work, I have to hold the button down until it closes.

If I wind the window up with the door open, you can hear the window hitting something metallic, but dont know what?! Possibly a sensor, this problem is intermittant, it does this for a few days then sorts itself out for a month or so?!?! what the heck is going on?

Think im going to take the door panel off and clean the sensors inside....If I can find them!

Any help would be appreciated

Hi, this sounds like something you might prefer to ask on the dedicated SLK forum, where other members with your car can better advise you.
