Exclamation Under water CLK W209 - Madeira Island

Hello,

Unfortunately I have lost my CLK (W209) on a parking at the 3rd floor under sea level.
The parking was completely flooded and the car is fully under water.

Water is being taken out and probably today, they will reach my car's level.

I would like to know if someone has already experienced this kind of situation and if I can have any kind of hope to recover the car.

If you have any suggestions or tips to avoid major damage, please let me know.

Thank you

Sorry to hear that. I would ask from MBClubUK, they have experience about flooding. I would consider the car lost but if you do not have any insurance to cover the losses, I hope you find a reasonable way to fix the car.

Was it salt water?
I would never look back at the car.
There was a story on youtube just weeks ago where the distracted guy drove over $1 mil Bugatti into 1 foot of salt water. The early estimates are that the car was total loss.

But it was storm rainwater - full of mud, etc. This will be inside all your electronic modules, your gearbox, your engine, your bodywork.

Man, just forget it. It's bad enough to recover from spilling a drink over your gearstick, which often wrecks the electronic module underneath...

The car is trashed. You might be able to start it again (don't try to start it as it sits now!!!!). You would need to empty all of the water out of engine before trying to crank anything. Even if you did start it later on, the electronics are trashed and would continue to give you random problems and/or short forever. Nobody will ever buy it if it was flood damaged, so the car really has no value (maybe in body parts/wheels/tires). Hope you have good insurance!
