O/T- small tail lamps

This has nothing to do with Mercedes but I've never seen it discussed before;
After driving behind more and more Range Rover's and Phantoms, I've started to wonder why they both have such small tail lamps? The Phantom is a BIG BIG car, especially the long wheelbase. The Range Rover is also a large SUV. I realize Rolls has had a long running tradition of putting ultra small tail lamps on their cars for years, but why did the designers (Marek Djordjevic and Ian Cameron), think the rear end looked in proportion on this car? Why hasn't a face lift increased the size of the tail lamps? Why are the Range Rover's and Range Rover Sport's (which isn't even a Range Rover) tail lamps so small? They are slightly more in proportion to the overall mass of the truck, than the Phantom's, but still very small. I think the rear of the Phantom looks way out of the proportion. The front and side view are both great. Anyone agree?

I agree. This is also bad, but the Phantom takes the cake. The Element has larger tail lamps then the Phantom, yet the Element is MUCH smaller (and MUCH, MUCH, MUCH cheaper).

It is not the point I was trying to make.
The World changes to ugliness. It started with Pontiac Aztec and went downhill from there.
Personally I miss the years when I could tell Mercedes from Toyota from 1/2 mile distance.
Good thing you signed the picture with RR, or I would take if for Cadillac

It's styling that reflects the tradition of these cars.

The Range Rovers haven't always had small taillights, but the new design tries to reflect the "series" models.

Rollers have always had small rear lights.

BTW I am 99% sure the RR picture was taken at Valley of Fire, NV but they have right hand traffic there

That is true, but how about a change? The rest of the car is so good looking and so much in proportion, then you look at the rear and it's like wow....... what were they thinking? Anyone good with photoshop and could increase the size of the tail lamps? I would love to see what it could look like.
