Replacing injectors in Sprinter 313CDI

Hi

Just about to replace injectors after a good clean up of the Black Death!! Once I have got the injectors back in, new copper washers and new stretch bolts etc etc, can I just reconnect the bleed off pipes to the top of the 4 injectors, or do I need to bleed or prime something befor I crank things over?

This is a whole new ball game!! Thanks in advance

No need for priming really. Did you check that the copper washers sit on an even face so that they don't start leaking again?

Hi thanks for your response. Yes I have cleaned the bottom faces. firstly, plugged the holes to keep the crap out the used a gun barrel wire cleaner(gently), covered over every other hole nearby and blasted with a fine air hose nozzel!, although getting to have a look down the last injector was a pig. I just hope the blow by has not etched a groove in the head!!It had been going on for a while, but not like some of the horror stories on here!
I was thinking of leaving the plastic cover off for a while just to keep an eye on things. I have not been having any power problems or starting issues, it was spotted when doing a service. so hopefully it was just the washer being U/S.
Thanks

Just wanted to add to my last post. I had to buy a new bleed off pipe to the 4 injectors (new metal connectors now). One of the plastic T pieces broke. Absolutely fleeced by Mecedes to tune of £74 + vat !!! All that 12 inches of pipe and 4 small connectors. any ideas where I can get a better deal for bits in the future.

thanks
