Question Shock replacement on E320

Hi everyone. I have a 2000 e320 matic and need to replace the front L and most likely the R front shock(s)
Q. 1 do I have to break down the ball joints and entire wheel assembely to do so.
Q. 2 are there exploded diagrams to show whats where and how it come together ?

Did you try the W210 section? If you cannot find answers there, you would hardly find them anywhere.

Ditto to Diesel Benz. Look for us in the sedans section and then check the stickys at the top of any page.

Guys - there IS a sticky in the W210 forum: "DIY for shock replacement" but the link to the post is broken.

Jim: The answer to your Q1 is No. And Q2 is also No. However, if you re-post your question in the W210 forum, I will post the relevant page from the WIS that gives instructions, torques required, etc for Removing & Installing a front shock absorber on your car.

This is one of those jobs that you need a torque wrench to get right, so get hold of one if you decide to go ahead with this work.
