Cold start problem
About 2 years ago I had the cold start injector for a 1986 420 serviced, and have not had any further starting problems until now. I hav tried to check the voltage of the electrical lead to the injector. Using a multi-meter I register 0.2 volts when cranking the engine, but that seems too low to activate the solenoid in the cold start injector. Could it be that a multi-meter is not sufficiently sensitive to record the true voltage, or could it be that the electrical power to the injector has a problem? My alternative is to replace the injector. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Thanks, and regards to all those merc owners out there . . .
