Clean Diesel?

This is a new interesting topic world wide, so I wanted to see what the forum thinks.
I am researching this topic currently, but beside generic info on low sulfur diesel and new technologies such as converters and particle filters (which are not new) I have not been able to discover much useful info. Besides the obvious, that new vehicles are going to be more environmentally friendly, what does that mean for older diesels?

Though a clean cut topic for the developed nations, it has become sort of a nightmare in the rest of the world. In Argentina it is an excuse to label an Eurodiesel grade overpriced and not quite as good as the real McCoy (dubious low levels of sulfur), plus the means not to make available the low grade or make it so bad that it is really low, low grade.

So these schmuks, prefer to ride over kegs of natural gas, than any fosil fluid. I am a gas engine person who prefers the pleasantries of a limo so, thanks but no thank you.

A car would show appreciation for preventive maintenance by never leaving his owner stranded.

Defensive Driving is never having to say you're sorry: a true love story between man and machine.
