Exclamation Serpentine, Washer Resivoir OEM Parts ordered online just as good dealer brought???

Hiya!

I own a CLK 350 (2006) Coupe. Ok, what I'd like to know is that are OEM Parts from autoanything or napa parts just as good as what Mercedes would sell me?

In regards to a:

Windshield Washer Reservoir (it's cracked)
Serpentine Belt

MB is not making serpentine belts, or tires, but check who is the manufacturer of the reservoir. If NAPA actually has it.

There are several sources for OE MB parts mentioned on this forum. Just do a little research to find out which company, or companies, make them for MB. Some parts have been mentioned as "dealer only".

That's what I thought....I'm going to keep doing more searches on here for legit sites. I was just afraid of "f'n" my car up by buying a part that mercedes didn't order for me.

Yep, I have been searching and putting a list together. I was going to go to the NAPA store near my house. Have you ever ordered from them?

Thanks for responding.

NAPA will still charge you more for unknown parts.
Go to Autohous.com and they will give you prices not too many can match for OEM parts.
The parts are arriving in like 3-4 days as well.

Thanks! I'll check that site now...but should I call Mercedes and ask them for the part number?
To make sure I buy the right one?

I have never bought anything for the MB from NAPA but I had a horrible experience with 2 of their power steering pumps for my Camry. I recently had a fuel pump failure in my Acclaim and they sell an OEM Bosch pump for my car. It seems that their preferred brand of those is Delphi and that's what I ended up with because the tech ordered what they had in stock at the local store.

One place I know of that claims to sell OE MB parts is CarQuest. The guy here let me see his screen when he pulled up my car and there were several filters, etc. that popped up. I haven't used anything of theirs either.

As Kajtek1 suggested, Autohausaz.com has been highly recommended by several people on here. And to answer your question about part numbers, there have been a couple complaints that the Autohaus parts catalog has some errors so I'd double check those before ordering.
