I agree with asianml. That guy in the SL knows what he is doing and those were all controlled skids. There were plenty of obstacles and he didn't hit any of them

I don't think so. But I do know that nearly all Mercedes crash test vehicles are painted orange.

My guess is that the movie producers bought a test vehicle directly from Mercedes that was going to be crashed anyway at a discount rather than buying one from a U.S. dealer at full retail.
