W124 230E Sways

Hi Benzers,

Need some advice, recently my 1992 W124 sways on the move. The steering wheel feels like having a pull to the left and right. Found out that the ball joint seal has broken. Had the wheels aligned and balanced but this doesnt help.

Can someone advice what seems to be the problem, i would like to get it fixed to get a steady ride like before.

Thanks.

Did you replace the balljoint in question?

Yes, replace both sides. If one has failed, the other one is likely not far behind.

So the sway is due to the ball joints? Could it be due to the shock absorbers? if so which ones? front or rear. Any otehr factors that could have caused the sway?

Thanks.

It might be due to other things but since you know the ball joint is bad I'd replace both of those and then see how the car handles.
