Highway 17 or Highway 9 between Los Gatos and Santa Cruz, CA, or Highway 1 up by Mendocino. I prefer Highway 17, very nice scenery and you can enjoy whipping around the turns.

yup, another good one on my list. Along with Logan pass (going to the sun highway), through glacier park. add in lolo pass and it makes a great trio of roads.

I'm taking my wife's 2005 W203 6-speed Coupe on the Blue Ridge Parkway next week. One of the best roads ever IMO. I've ridden it on my sport touring motorcycle many times. My friend in a Dodge Viper and I are going to end up at The Dragon with a good ride on the Cherohala Skyway.

I've never done a road trip like this in an automobile, only on motorcyle, many times. I think the little C230 Coupe will be a wonderful companion, and I plan to have the panoramic top opened most of the time.
