I don't know what cost center they come from but $10.62 factory cost for the kit seems high. However the blame should be distributed between Ford and the suppliers for the amount of OH added. The cost to Ford should be no more than $33.60, which means the O-rings should be Viton, the bolts Hi-Tensile, and the clips first quality spring steel.
As for the links, independent of the brands, $28.32 at the dealer (Ford) and $12.60 (Autohaus for MB 300), what's the surprise? How much would the MB link had been at a MB dealership?
