Gripes About Service Costs

To all my fellow Benz owners who have been victimized by MB's outrageous service costs, I have but one bit of advice---Buy a BMW next time--everything's included and you don't pay a dime for anything. They even change your wiper blades every time you bring your car in for service.
I've got an S550 4Matic and believe me when I say, $589 for Service B which is just an oil change and rotating the tires is simply a rip off. I don't mind paying a bit more for quality and you expect to pay more as an owner of a Benz, but MB goes too far in their pricing. I'd much rather have no pool table or spa and more reasonable service costs than all the bells and whistles that I hardly see anyone using. It's all a bunch of hype anyway. I go to the dealership to get my car serviced, not to play pool or sit in a SPA.

Wow! They rotated your tyres !!?! That's not part of ESS. They just need to kick 'em, by my understanding...

In MB's defence, They are cheaper than BMW, particularly on Parts cost & labour rates. You want cheap, buy a tata!!

Welcome to the site, BTW...

Remember years ago when they were making Braveheart and everyone was saying,
"Oh, its ridiculous; Mel Gibson playing a Scottish guy? That's not going to be very convincing."
But take a look at him now: an alcoholic racist. - Frankie Boyle

Brothers and sisters are natural born enemies. Like englishmen and Scots. And Welshmen and Scots. And Japanese and Scots. And Scots and other Scots. Lousy Scots. They ruin Scotland. - Groundskeeper Willie
