cleaning rims

I have a 2007 E350 4 matic. I have the 18 inches sport wheels. It is so hard to get the tar/brake dust off the rims. Anything to keep the tar/dust off the rims?

There are a few products to repel brake dust but from what I've read none work very well. Some people wax their wheels that supposedly has the same effect. I don't think there are any magic bullets other than to buy ceramic (low dust by nature) brake pads. But those are harder so will wear out the MB rotors faster. If a solution exists at all, it is aftermarket rotors and pads.

You can try using a product like Eagle One A2Z all wheel/tire cleaner on a regular basis, get ceramic brakes and never have to deal with dust again, or get cheap (but not great looking), kleen wheel brake dust shields. I know someone (after my suggestion) who got the kleen wheel dust shields on their BMW and they have worked well..... and yes it is spelled kleen.
