CLS 500 - help to find location of main fuse box

The 6 CD changer unit recently jammed for the second time (seems to happen when I press the disc select buttons too quickly). I was advised over the phone by a helpful Mercedes mechanic (who have freed it the first time it happened) to take out the fuse and then put it back in to try to free it. Does anyone know where the main fuse box is? He told me to open the driver's door and remove a cover, where I would find the "deployment list" to identify the correct fuse, but I can't see a removeable cover in that area. Any ideas, guys? :Thanks

Have you lost your user manual too? The manual explains where the fuse boxes are. If you don't have a manual, you can download one from the MBUSA website.

It should be fuse #26 for the CD changer, behind the flap that you find when you open the driver's door as the MB mechanic explained.

thanks a lot

i just had the same problems today ! i pressed a couple of buttons too fast and now my CDC does not work...... Actually i could not close it. Eventually i switced off the car and locked it. After a few minutes it closed by itself.

I started the car again, opened the CDC and tried to insert a CD but it does not let me. Again, the door would not close until i locked the car.

I will try to remove the fuse as you suggested..... hopefully this will do the trick !
