I tried waxing and they would still be black in one day so I gave up and installed dust shields. Couldn't be happier.

Akebono brake pads = no dust.

I used Porterfield pads, great performance and way less dust than stock!

Brake Dust

I changed over to a ceramic pad, no more dust.
