Exclamation 03' ML350 front break caliper bolts

I have a 2003 ML350
wanted to do new breaks all around, but the front break caliper bolts are stripped out (5mm Allen head bolts) MB dealer wants $150 (for 4 bolts!) and they cant give me any details about the specs (IE thread count length and hardness) if anyone had details on this or has some extra bolts they would part with, you be making my family very happy and safer!

Happy New Year!
God Bless!

Picture would be a great help. From what I remember ML is having torx head bolts on the calipers. Hex will not hold higher torque.

Picture attached

What I have is a female hex head (Allen head) - is this the right bolt in the first place?

All of the front are like this and stripped, the back use a regular socket

Thanks

Can't tell from the picture, but I am pretty sure those were torx on my ML.

... and an INHEX (Allen) wrench will for sure strip a TORX. These wrenches are NOT interchangeable and 5mm allen is NOT the correct size or wrench.

The bolt in the picture appears rather easily removed using vise grips.

Price for new bolts is $5.25 each assuming correct posting of part number above. Go back to dealer and purchase these or purchase at http://www.getmercedesparts.com (don't type in A)

Under NO circumstances jeopardize your family's safety by using hardware
store fasteners.

Go to Sears and buy some TORX wrenches.

A 2003 ML350 is going to be a 163.157.

The 164.186 didn't come out until 2006.
