Car radio for 1999 C230 kompressor

I drive a 1999 C230 kompressor. I am trying to put a in-dash radio system in it. The website ask what time of dimm it is. I have no clue. Its asking if it is a 50 mm or a 100 mm. Also is there any other piece i need for my car to buy this in-dash radio.

Single din most likely for your car. Unless it has COMMAND but I don't know if that was around in '99. Do you have a tray under your radio? If so then it's a single din.

Cheers

To put it another way, single DIN is about 7" wide by 2" tall. Double DIN is 7"x4".

DIN stands for Deutsche Industrienorm = German Industrial Standard.

Crutchfield: LCD TV, Car Stereo, Home Theater, Speakers, Plasma TV can help you, or call their 800 number.

The standard radio unit in your vehicle is what is known as a single DIN, (standard size car radios) however there is a tray directly underneath your radio which if removed will allow fitment of a double DIN size radio (I have removed the tray and fitted a 7" dvd player in mine)
there are a couple of plastic slots along the sides inside the hole which may have to be cut out to allow fitment, but nothing to drastic, (you dont need to hack the dash to pieces etc).
