tires

I buy only tires(or anything else, for that matter) manufactured in China. That way, when they repossess the USA,they'll think I'm a fellow patriot and leave my stuff alone.Cheers.

Korea. All I can say is that I like their tires better than their cooking.

I've been fan of French Michelins but lately driving less went for cheaper Firehawks. I think they are made in US, but have to check it.
Those got me really impressed. Not only much better traction on slippery roads at ski resorts, but lately I hit a pothole that bend OEM rim about 1" out of shape developing quite visible crack. The tire not only didn't blow up, but holds the air and I noticed the damage after driving over 100 miles at speeds of 80-90 mph.

I recently bought my first set of Bridgestone's and they are the best tires I've ever had in 20+ years. Track great, excellent wear even on softer compounds, beautiful adhesion and I selected the slightly higher rolling resistance, tho I think this equates to how soft the material is. The higher the rolling resistance the better you stick to the road, the lesser resistance means you get better gas mileage but don't adhere as well. I'd rather spend an extra few bucks and keep it between the lines.
