If sunlight hits the mirror sensor on your inside rear view mirror, it thinks there are bright headlights behind you and dims the mirrors, inside rear view and outside drivers side giving a fairly dark blue tint.
Also, the photochromeric material does have a blue tint to it, so even w/o the dimming function, the mirrors do have a slight blue tint to them. (Not just on mercedes, My silverado has the same tint and acts the same).
Be glad it's blue, not yellow. If the mirror is yellow, the fluid has leaked out and hopefully not damaged your paint, but has damaged your wallet if you want to replace the mirror and have the autodimming function.
Try this experiment. with the engine running, shine a flashlight on the inside rear view mirror light sensor, and you'll see the mirrors shift to blue.
