so anyone can give advices on esp when to turn off?
because when i drive in snow/icy surface, i normally keep esp on to get the car stable.
however this is what i find the most troube situration.
1) Drive into a car park with deep snow, the car seem to be stuck, can't go forward or backward, in such situration is it best turn esp off and slowly give gas and turn steering left and right to shake the car out from the stuck?
normally i find that going into R make car seem more power to get out of stuck, but going forward never seem to work and would stay stuck.
Also if i face such situration again, before i go into the deep snow car park shall i turn esp off to build enough power to go into the deep snow car park, and turn on esp once i get out of the deep snow?
2) going up icy uphill mix with some snow, with esp on, i just manage to climb up certain part of the hill, before it come completely stuck, and no matter what i do it just don't go up.
So in this situration is it best for me to turn esp off when i try go uphill in icy surface mix with snow but gently with the gear and speed to slowly climb up the hill but careful on the car to avoid sliding while climbing?
and once over that hill, i turn esp back on?
3) on a giveaway, with very little icry steep path, with ESP on, car seem to be stuck and cannot move forward, so in such situration shall i turn esp off, go into R and then go forward again to hopefully it give enough power to go up that little icry steep path, then turn esp on again to drive when i back to main road?
hopefully some can give me advices and suggest, because i really want to learn how to use the esp correctly and method to conques these situration when i travel to work and back home.
N.B. No winter tries, no snow chains, the reason is that uk don't really snow alot, and normally only last for few days, it just this week, uk suddently have 3 inches of snow, and my work place is up into the hill! >_<
