The first issue could have been from low voltage but if it starts on its own, there must be something wrong in the heater control unit. You could have it diagnosed or just disassemble the control unit and see if has signs of water and corrosion.

I will do that in the weekend, i was wondering of anyone has a diagram of the outsmart, that's turns on webasto heater together with the car, in the std. diagram i cannot see anything connected to the ignition, and don't see anything about the button in the car.
So i wiring diagram for mb installation would be helpful.

At the first impression I was jealous that guys around the World can enjoy comfort heaters in their cars, while in America it takes spending at least $1/2 mil on the motorhome, or a boat to get Webasto heater in it.
Than reading on, I could picture average American Joe parking his Mercedes in the garage packed up to the ceiling with card-boxes filled up with crap and than diesel burner starting on its own. I don't blame MBUSA for not importing the option here
Good luck on the repair.

The main issue with a heater firing on its own is that it runs the car battery flat and consumes the oxygen from the garage (and produces some CO). The exhaust gas is just like the car running in the garage and not really dangerous at all, even if the car was driven on some card boxes. A hot catalyzer under the car is a lot more dangerous.

Send me the VIN of the car via PM and I can try to have a look at the diagram.
