Questions about buying first Mercedes S430

I want to buy a 2000 Mercedes s430, but i have a couple of questions.

What if I lose the keys, how will i replace them and how much would that cost?
Should i have anything to worry about when I buy the car?

The car is in good condition and the paint job is new, the interior is in really good condition and it goes through the car wash about 4 times a day. The person that I might buy it from liked it keep it clean. The car has 94,000 miles on it, and I don't think it has any rust.

That is called a W220 and there is a forum devoted to that chassis. Scroll down from here (General Mercedes-Benz), look for the sedans, and you should see it. Your chances are much better of getting the attention of some actual owners there. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

It will cost $150-250 to replace a key and it's only possible at dealers.

People who own S-class Mercedes should never be in the position of asking the cost. New ones or older ones.

Sounds like the only bad thing about it -it is not diesel.
Have the car inspected by good mechanic.

Post Inspection and Paint

I am surprised that he had a new paint job. Scrutinize the paperwork on that (a good paint job costs, I guess, $4000 on up). Was is to hide damage? Rust? Change the color (in which case the paint job better have been $8,000 on up)? Also, get a mechanic who knows Mercedes specifically.
