The formula for a 119 motor chain problem seems to be slightly stretched chain, marginal tensioner, neither of which is a problem until the upper chain guide breaks, usually bank 1. The guides are made out of nylon, subject to heat cycle degradation - wise to replace them somewhere in the 100-150k / 10-15 year range, especially if you drive hard. It's not a very expensive job.
