Another newbie with Warranty concern

I bought new 2004 s430 with extended warranty (7 yrs and 100k miles)directly from MB (the extended warranty card also issued by MB), during the first 4 years 50k miles warranty claims were easy and direct, but as soon as the claim is on the extended warranty is all quite different. If complain was not found or if it is minor (they will say nothing wrong) then we have to pay their minimum charge. If it is once or twice then I would not make a fuzz and I did not for that incident, but I am worry about major problem that happen intermittently, like my transmission that happen twice already. The first incident during 35k miles which they repair, but took them more than one week to repair, at that time they claimed that waiting for parts, the second time during 70k miles and it took them one day to repair, both times they repair the Valve body. The problem are exactly the same, transmission does not shift, so if it occur during driving at over dive then it will not shift down and when stop it will shift to first and will not shift up. What will happen after all the warranty expires ? as this is clearly a defect in the design or manufacturing? Is there any implied warranty ?

Welcome aboard
I think you should check your local lemon law.
In many states in the US there are "lemon laws" if a vehicle repeatedly breaks down for the same reason and the dealer/manufacture canot fix it after 3 or 4 times. they have to buy back or reimburse.
