If your CLK is 2002 or older, it is a W208. From 2003 on they became W209, at least in the US. Welcome to the forum.

Missed a bit

You're welcome mate, congrats on your W208!

Does service light ON mean you are due for service or do you mean the CEL (check engine light)?

Owners manuals might still be available from MB; if not try eBay Motors. Mine was missing some too and MB told me they were out of print but I found all I needed on eBay. You can also check the For Sale/Trade and W208 forum here in case someone has what you need.

Some workshop manuals are available from MB in DVD format, but for a 1999 there might be printed ones instead of, or too.

I dunno really. With me being new to the car im not very familliar with it all yet. When I first put ignition on theres a spanner and - 3653 or whatever numbers.Does this mean the amount of miles to the nxt service OR that the service was due that amount of miles ago?
By the way, thank you again Musikmann for your help!

Sounds like you have what MB calls the FSS (flexible service system). Mine shows miles due until next service. It also might show you 1 wrench (A service due) or 2 wrenches (B service due). I've never gone past that so I don't know what it shows afterward, but I suspect it starts counting up from 0.

Minus sounds like you are past due then.

Briefly, service A is minor (approx every 1 year or 10,000 miles) and B is a major (approx every 2 years or 20,000). With both is an oil change but more inspections, and money, with a B. Dealers have a schedule they go by and a lot of people here do their own services. The individual steps are probably on the W208 forum somewhere.
