New to this forum and finding very little information to my problem may be its too basic or no one likes to explain and also why does the radio not switch off with the ignition.

I have a Merc ML270 2003 and need to remove the head unit for an upmarket.

How do I remove the front dash plastic wood trim to get access to the unit.
Does it pull out ? if so from where does it pull from. Tool etc

Do I need to remove the Ash tray if so how ?

Sorry but can someone plz stat the obvious.
