when installing a new EIS (ignition lock) assembly, it must be programmed into the car.. in other words.. its not just plug and play.. and its usually done with SDS (mb comp). was the programming of the ignition done?

keys comes programmed from mercedes when ordered... on your particular vehicle, the key shouldnt require additional programming.. however, your EIS or ignition does require programming after installation... perhaps you should take it to the dealer to see if they can program your ignition...
