Post New Member-First Service

Hi, I'm a new member from British Columbia, Canada, and I have to get my first service on my 2009 C230. I was told by the local dealership that oil, filter and top off the fluids is all that's involved. I was quoted around $300, which seems a bit high. The service rep mentioned that the spd/od message would have to be reset. Would appreciate feedback from the older members.
Many thanks,

A synthetic oil change at most would cost you $100 at an idependent. They will check your other fluids when you have this done. The only thing left is the air filter and that is very easy to put in. Check the stickys in your correct forum and it will fully explain how to do so. Last thing is your message on your cluster. Either have the independent reset it for you or if you look in your cars users manual it will tell you how to reset it yourself. I have learned to stay away from the dealer because they are wayyyyy over priced.
