Smile Hi from the Smoky Mountains.

My interest in this forum is mostly for research on my next car purchase. In 2003 I wanted to replace my 1989 Chevy pickup and started researching forums and in the process I eliminated Chevy/GMC and Ford and choose a Dodge with a Cummins diesel. I still feel it was the best choice I could have made. That truck pulls my 10000 lb. fifth wheel at legal highway speeds and get 12.5 mpg and not towing I get 21 mpg with my family of 5 plus luggage and 16.5 or better for every day driving here in the mountains. It has convinced me that diesels are clearly the future for me.
I also have a 2006 Subaru Outback (my second Outback) and both of these cars have been very good to me, but our family is growing and we need a larger vehicle with more room and comfort and without sacrificing reliability. I have targeted the MB R320 CDI as a potential replacement since it has 4matic , a lot of room and it is a diesel.

I look forward to reading your posts and contributions.
