I plan on fixing the rust on my '95 C280 tomorrow (1/4 panels/fenders). From what I've read, I'll need:
a grinder - for initial removal of rust
some sand paper - to get the rest of the rust
auto body filler - to fill in if necessary
fine grit sand paper - to smooth the filler
touch up paint
to be used in that order.
EDIT: figured out how to find the exact touch up paint match : http://www.paintscratch.com/colALL.htm
And what do I do about the rust bubbles on the black section? If I sand it, what do I apply over it?
I've also attached some pictures below.
Afterward, I plan on getting an oil based rust proofing done before I put it inside the garage for the winter.
I appreciate any wisdom/insights from people who've done something like this before! Thanks
