My light has not come on again since I did the fuse trick..sorta. I did a pretty large trip to upper state NY from Maryland. While up there a few times the light appeared again while on the trip. But the car was also parked on an incline (I was camping) on the trip home it went away and hasn't showed up again. Now I will tell you that was before I changed my plugs back to the non resistor type. Now the car runs even smoother. If you are a second or third owner, check those plugs and make sure they are not the resistor type. That can give you huge problems. It cost me a total of $6 for the right Bosch plugs. To answer your question no, the light doesn't come on in those circumstances.

Can all you new guys fill out your profile for the rest of us so we know where you are and what you drive? The advice you're likely to get will be a lot better if we have some idea where you are (and the likelihood of finding good repair) and what you drive (since a lot of advice is specific to a model, not generic).

Thanks, and welcome.
