If you direct your questions to the R129 forum on this site (your car is an R129), the guys there can be a lot of help.
The R129 is one of the more robust MRZ models. It does have an Achilles heel, and that is the top hydraulics. There are 13 or 14 separate cylinders that control the function of the top(s), and they fail from time to time. They are expensive to repair, but there is a guy who rebuilds cylinders for $60 or $70 bucks a piece--they are $140 from the dealer. Dig around in the thread search and you'll find the information to contact him. He overnights them back to you, so your car isn't down very long.
Welcome to the R129 club. I've had mine about 2 months, and it's a great ride. Everyone there will attest to the fun a MRZ roadster is.
