Glad to have my '83 300d as my first car..

I was gifted an '83 300d about a month ago and so far love it. I have always enjoyed the sound of a diesel rig over gas rig, and growing up in a rural part of northern calif. i heard plenty of them. "Beast" is light tan in color and stock all around except for the cd player. Im about 90m from going over the 290,000m mark. turbo is out but have a new one on the way. I am in love with this car and hope to find another with a better interior soon and paint it, strait pipe it, lower it about 2 inches, and remove the rear bumper.......but im just dreamin. this is again my first car that i myself have owned (used to drive parents chevy blazer wich by the way had 270k miles. not bad for a gasser) and hope to have it for if i can just get my ignition unlocked. ahaha.

Welcome to Benzworld! Congrats on your 300D. I have one also with 282K on her and shes just getting broken in. I love owning it and driving her when I get the chance. They can be lots of fun, and challenging at the same time. Come join us in the W123 section of the forums. Great members there and lots of useful info!
