Hi,

I recently moved from California to Finland and need to get my R350 COMAND to work. Hopefully I'll find some info here

What's the cost of fuel like there per litre? I bet the 3.5L is considered a big motor over there, eh?

Right on target, man. The unleaded 95 here that equals premium 91 goes around $7.25/Gallon and 3.5L is big, yes. In fact they just changed the car tax to hit progressively high co2 emissions, e.g. the engine size. Very effective environment policy

Welcome to the Forum. You should have sold that car before you moved and brought a diesel when you arrived in Finland.

$7.25 a gallon? It could be worse as that's still under $2 a litre. The UK has a similar policy as well as a commuter tax into city's like London. Makes you really think about driving that is for sure.

Still I bet the way they do things over there is an incredible shock from how even the socialists did it in California, eh? Time for a diesel?

Thanks. Well, buying and driving a diesel in CA is not easy and in order to waive some of the car tax I need to have owned it at least half a year. And of course the new law went into effect just 5 months ago.
But I do not complain - my 2006 R350 is still worth almost $90 000 ...

Well that depends on what a new one is worth I guess because costs are very subjective.
