Hello - finding a part - Mercedes-Benz Forum

Hello - finding a part

New to the site. Hope I can find the answer. I just bought a ml350 2005. on the tailgate inside there is the first aid kit and can anyone tell me what goes in the other compartment that is mark with a triangle and i. I would like to find this part but I have no clue what is called, or what it is.

Welcome to the Forum. More then likely it is a set of safety triangles. You can post your question in the ML350 section to know for sure.

That is for the road side warning triangle. The Mercedes Triangles do not meet the US DOT requirements so Mercedes is required to remove all triangles from US vehicles. I guess the US DOT feels it is safer to not warn other drivers when Mercedes owners break down on the side of the road. It seems that the Mercedes Triangles are OK in the rest of the world. They are available from Europe but are somewhat expensive. I could never find one in autoparts stores that would fit that compartment.
