It's myth that oil needs to be hot.
But, warm oil will contribute to collapse of a soft extraction hose. My MityVac uses plastic tubing that's pretty similar to icemaker tubing and it doesn't collapse.
The "suspension" of contaminants performed by motor oil is chemical suspension, and these do not come out when oil cools. Remember also, it's the first number that works when cold, so a 0W or 10W oil is pretty thin and there isn't going to be a flow problem extracting it.
