Air cabin filter (E240)

Hi , i have a terrible smell in the cabin of my mercedes e240 (2004model). Where is the air cabin filter located as I want to do it my self thanks.

At the right side of the engine bay, in front of the fire wall. The W211 forum would probably have some photos showing hot to detach the cover (simple anyway).

The smell could come from the heater core though if water at the bottom has made mildew grow.

Theo you are much more likely to get complete and accurate information if you post down in the W211 forum instead of this one, which is just about general things regarding MB. Detailed information typically comes out of the specific forums for the various chassis designs.

Ye only if I have the fan heater it stinks the cabin,like dusty smell. I wil go to the W211 forum and see if I can find anything. thanks

You can also try this stuff called "Frigi-Fresh" that i believe u can buy at any parts store. You just spray into the intake for heater/ac air. kills bacteria and smells pretty nice.
