This does not work at all. I've often seen a passenger entering a taxi and once the driver has taken care of the luggage, he asks the passenger to change to the left front seat. I guess you figured out already, this often happens when continental Europeans visit the UK, passengers are so used to sitting on the right that they don't even realise they have a steering wheel too. I guess the fuss getting a taxi in a hurry helps with the confusion.

Absolutely disagree. There are lots of good dealers out there. Some will do mail order parts for you at wholesale. Many times I get the OE Mercedes parts for less than the aftermarket guys prices.
