never heard of battery groups?

Thanks for your helpful reply. Maybe you could start your own thread about battery groups, like you really didn't know.
For anyone who really doesn't know, batteries fit into designated groups, mostly designated by size or function. Common marine batteries are Groups 24,27 and 30 and then defined by function, either starting battery or deep cycle battery.
SL500s use two batteries, one under the hood designated as the starting battery and one in the trunk designated as the "consumer electric" battery. One is a group 48 and one is a group 49 and I am trying to find out which one goes into the trunk.

I've never bought batteries by group. I hope you did not scare away people who really know the answer and enjoy your own thread.
