Body Work

My 280SL 1985 has a chrome/ rubber trim on the left wing. I was washing it and it fell off due to rust on the trim fixings. Does anyone on here know where I can get a replacement trim or a way to repair to the trim that fell off.

I live in the Uk and any help would be appreciated.

The trim was probably aftermarket and many people use them to cover the first stages of fender rust. Also, if it was drilled in, it could be what caused the rust to begin with. Best bet would be to do away with and repair the areas, but if you just want to replace they are usually available on eBay ("fender trim" or "fender chrome" in the US) or has it here I believe, but verify it's what you need before ordering: Mercedes Benz Parts & Accessories - Mercedes 107 - CLICK HERE

You may wish to search for "Adsit" on this site first as some members have had objections to return policy in the past I believe.
